Katelyn joined Nash, Spindler, Grimstad & McCracken, LLP in 2010 and has dedicated her practice to civil litigation, primarily defending businesses, individuals, and insurance carriers.  She also has a special interest in representing health care providers in professional negligence matters.   In addition to appearing before circuit courts around the state, Katelyn’s practice also includes appellate work on behalf of insurance carriers and their insureds.

Originally from Wausau, Wisconsin, Katelyn received her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.  She then attended the University of Wisconsin Law school, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2010.  Immediately after finishing law school, she move to Manitowoc to begin her career with Nash, Spindler, Grimstad & McCracken, LLP.

Being involved in a civil lawsuit can be a frightening and unnerving experience for clients.  Katelyn is a strong believer in maintaining frequent communication with her clients so they are knowledgeable about what is occurring through each step of the litigation process.  As one of Katelyn’s clients, you will always feel like you can call or email her and she will promptly respond.

Katelyn is a member of several professional organizations including the Wisconsin Bar Association, the Manitowoc Bar Association, and the Wisconsin Defense Counsel.  She is also one of the original members of “Women in the Law”, an organization of female litigators, and for the past few years has been responsible for organizing their summer social event.   She serves her community locally by volunteering her time with and being on the board for the Hope House of Manitowoc County, a homeless shelter focusing on  serving the needs of women and children.

When not working, Katelyn enjoys traveling with her husband, cooking, doting on their two bernese mountain dogs, trail bike riding, and reading.
